Doug and Joyce Donigian

Doug and Joyce Donigian

Doug and Joyce Donigian are a second career couple – Doug was a technical manager in the paper and chemical industries and Joyce worked in public education and statistical analysis. Then God called them into ministry.

We graduated from Moravian Theological Seminary and then took a full-time position at First UCC in Quakertown. After serving there for fourteen years, we retired and took on supply ministry. Meeting new congregations was exciting and very educational. However, we missed the continuing relationship pastors can have with congregations. Therefore, we joined St. John UCC in 2023 as settled , half-time co-pastors. We are delighted with the faith, welcoming spirit, and opportunities here.

Our DNA, as individuals and a congregation, includes informality, intimacy, laughter, music, and humility. We see our world through a filter of love and compassion. We honor the mission, promises, and teachings of Jesus and we are searching out ways to put our faith into practice. All who seek are welcome with us at St. John UCC.

Roberta Moyer

Our remote secretary, Roberta Moyer, served as the secretary at St. Stephen’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bethlehem for 12 years. Prior to that, she held positions with Allentown (now Miller) Symphony Hall and Telerx Marketing, amassing extensive experience in events management, marketing and desktop publishing. A graduate of Muhlenberg College (B.A. Theatre/History) and the University of South Dakota (M.A. Theatre with a concentration in directing), Roberta worked for over 25 years in every aspect of local theatre.

An unabashed animal lover, Roberta is President of Paws For Fun. In 2009, they founded Barktoberfest Pet Fair, held annually on the second Saturday in October at Macungie Memorial Park.
